The dimensions are exactly as advertised, it is a big, spacious backpack, it has many compartments, and it is very comfortable to wear. I haven't tested it with airport security yet but, i have a regular backpack that is the same size as this one with which i have travelled, and haven't had any problems with airport security with that one, since i carried it as a small cabin bag, so i don't expect problems with this one.
